La Folie does indeed love you…

Once of four at the last count, the Val d’Isère version of the legendary open air day clubs that my pre-teen once described as a PG rated Strip Joint - he may not be wrong - wandering singers and musicians play/sing along to euro pop hits, while dancing girls cavort on top of the buildings and large screens depict psychedelic imagery - champagne is winched up to the VIP bar in clear Perspex cable cars over the heads of the plebeian masses sipping beer and swapping tales of their gap year and what bastards chalet guests are.
Tips – (1) The VIP bar is usually accessed by simply buying a bottle of fizz, but do expect to be moved on if the space if required by someone spending more lavishly, (2) grab a fur-lined sleeping bag thingy to keep warm while you wait for your onion soup and huge burger sitting outside La Fruitière – that and bottles of air chilled pink (3) avoid the closing rush down to La Daille, by taking the telecabin unless you like dodging onesie-wearing twats who drink better than they ski.
